| Berea Middle Eastern Dancers | Berea Middle Eastern Dancers (BMED) perform to Yahla Minhom (The most beautiful) by Ehab Tawfik and Love Brake by Reda Darwish. BMED was formed during 2005 to bring understanding of Middle Eastern culture through dance, music and information to the Berea College community, the wider community of Berea, and beyond. BMED is directed by Nashwa, who created this choreography. | | ||
| Rya | Rya has had a passion for the performing arts her entire life but only started learning middle eastern dance in 2002 when introduced to it through the SCA. She practices several different styles but prefers to focus on tribal fusion and gothic. Tonight she performs to Pentaphobe's Unknown Hand and Brass Mena_eri Balkan brass band's Opa Cupa. | | ||

| Donna Carlton | Donna Carlton performs an Egyptian piece tonight to music from Raks Sahara. Donna teaches Middle Eastern dance and hatha yoga in Bloomington, Indiana. She is the author of Looking for Little Egypt, which chronicles the history and perceptions of Middle Eastern dance in America since the 1893 World's Fair in Chicago. Since its publication she has been a guest lecturer at universities, conferences, retreats and workshops. She also sponsors workshops locally and is a representative for Audrena's International. Donna's involvement in dance has led her to a deep appreciation for Arabic classical music; she performs with an ensemble in Bloomington. allaboutbellydance.com | | ||

| Samovar Dance Theatre | Anna, Annie, Jakarta, Nora and Ruric-Amari in a veil dance choreographed by Ruric-Amari to music composed by Cassandra Abram. The Samovar Dance Theatre was formed by Ruric-Amari to give students a performance outlet. | Nashwa | Nashwa performs a classical Egyptian dance to Daret Al Ayam (Arabian Legends), followed by a modern Egyptian piece to Sit Al sitat Ya Sahrqia. Raised in Cairo, Egypt, Middle Eastern music, rhythm and dance have been a part of Nashwa's world since a very early age. She studied dance in Egypt with masters of the art and now teaches and performs internationally. She is the founder of the Isis dance troupe in Japan, director and founder of Berea Middle Eastern Dancers at Berea College, and a teacher of Middle Eastern Dance at Eastern Kentucky University.
