There are lots of ways to get to the studio, but because several major streets in this area are one-way it is easiest for folks who are not familiar with this area to get on I-64 and get off at the Grinstead exit (8) and then turn left onto two-way Lexington Road.
- If you were heading East when you got off the Interstate, then you turn right at traffic light at the bottom of the ramp onto Grinstead and then quickly turn right at the next light onto Lexington.
- If you were heading West when you got off the Interstate,then turn left at the bottom of the ramp onto Grinstead, move into the right lane, go under the interstate bridge and through the light at the bottom of the east-bound ramp, then turn right at the next light (a couple of hundred feet) onto Lexington.
Proceed down Lexington past the Girl Scout building (on the right) and the cemetery walls (on the left) for one mile to the first traffic light. Lexington winds a bit but has relatively little traffic. The first traffic light marks the intersection with Payne Street. The Distillery Commons complex is on the other side of the intersection on the left. Continue STRAIGHT through the intersection (do not turn onto Payne), then turn left into the large parking lot located after the last building in the complex. The Headliners concert hall, a stand-alone brick building set back from the road, is on the opposite side of the parking lot.
There is a side entrance into building from the parking lot. Since this is the service entrance and very dusty, recommend you use the front entrance on Lexington instead. Come in the main entrance and follow the signs to Ruric's dance studio on the third floor. If you get lost, give her a ring at 502-777-7317.
